Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
vmo, YYYY@YYYY year I had a bad car accident and had massive brushing and hematoma damage to my left side of my chest...specifically my left breast. It was quite swollen and an awful shade of egg plant purple. Eventually after several months the bruising went away but the swelling still appears to be there as mt left breast is still a little larger than my right. I recently had a screening mammography that indicated I needed a diagnostic mammogram which I just had. the report from the radiologist was unclear but stated to contact my primary care doctor which i have done but have not heard back from yet. My questions involved the reports perhaps coming back skewed because of the hemoatoma damage or is it possible that the bruising and trauma caused some hard to read mammograms from the damage. I am waiting to hear from my primary doc as to the next step but an very anxious and scared of breast cancer. I am a very healthy 63 year old woman who doctors very regularly. Any thoughts?
