we sit for a 21/2 year old . he recently had the sinus virus and cant seem to shake it completely. 1 week ago it looked like he had a stiff neck, running a fever, headaches and just not being himself. had himto med express, regular dr. and then E.R E.R. made incorrect diagnosis in an ear infection. chest x ray was clear, was given iv and sent home. reg dr the next day . he said no ear infection . finally got a urine sample and no bladder infection. each dr said the neck problem was just stiff neck from sleeping wrong. the fever is gone but the neck problem still exist. the last 3 days while sleeping , he seeems to be gasping for air at times waking himself in the process. he does however seem to have a sticky congestion in the nasal cavity. we raised 2 kids of our own and never an experience like this. each dr says he dont look to have meningitis he can put his chin down and to the right but limited to the left and up he complained when we took his shirt off. he rough houses normally and an injury could have happened without anyones knowledge. this prob could be affecting his breathing while sleeping. any ideas?
