What Causes The Toddler To Run With Its Feet Pointing Outwards?

I fee silly for asking this but I just noticed for the 1st time today that my 3 1/2 yr old son walks/runs with his feet pointed out. Not severely but enough that it's definitely noticeable. I obviously worry about causes and symptoms later on but I'll be honest, I also worry about it coetically as it looks a bit awkward. Is this normal? Is it any indication that he'll always have this gate? Is it correctable as he grows older? Will it affect athletics?

Thank you. I really appreciate any guidance.
