What Does It Mean When A Report Reads That I

what does it mean when a report reads that I have an anterior thecal sac effacement and there is a cord abutment lateralizing to the left...does that mean the disc is actually touching the spinal cord. I had c6-c7 fused 20 years ago and they are still solid but am having problems with c4-c5. Thank you for your response.
