What Is The Recoup Time For Having A Colostomy Pouch

what is the recoup time for having a colostomy pouch put in if my husband has to have this done for radiation proctitus? He had prostate cancer and had it removed but some of the cancer had gotten outside the wall and he had 35 radiation treatments. Now he is in severe pain and his doctor has mentioned doing this procedure. how long would he have to have it and would the procedure be as bad taking it out as putting it in.
