Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
when I worked in a shop for a couple of years we had to use a stockroom where bits of itchy fibres were hanging from the ceiling and on top of the stock boxes. It was a small sloping roof style stockroom that you could not stay in for long without feeling stifled. We used to blow the fibres of the boxes before bringing them out to the customers. it made my arms itch and red for a while and in the end I asked fro a transfer downstairs. this was in approx. 1995 to 1997. in 1999 I had an Angiogram because I was getting chest pains on exertion but all was clear. I developed a cough a quite a few years ago now and 18 months ago I was diagnosed through a CT scan to have Bronchiectasis. I have never smoked and cant understand why I have got this condition. could the stockroom have has asbestos as the building was an old CO OP building which was transferred to a House Of Fraser so is probably back to the 50's. We were always complaining about the stockroom but health and safety was not considered important at that time. I would appreciate your comments. thankyou Mrs Hall
