why would a dr tell our family that my mothers EEG was fine and i got the report today and it simply states abnormal. mild to moderate diffuse slowing of the background rhythms is present. they diagnosed her with osmotic demyelination syndrome due to extensive damage in her pons and thalamus, but we are thinking they wrongfully diagnosed her bc of her improvement also they accused her of being an alcoholic bc of her severe low sodium and i feel like they jumped on that diagnosis. please help
