Would The Veterans Doctor Change A 80 Year Old Man

would the veterans doctor change a 80 year old man from hydrocodone 325/10 to morphine, methocarbamol, gabapentin, amitriptyline, meloxicam. The 80yr old was doing well on the hydrocodone for over 15 years not addicted had no opiode constipation, did not abuse sometimes only took a half. The 80 year old man since has been on the new drugs for the past 3yrs has refused after 3 morphine pills in beginning not to take and has had many falls in the past 3 yrs and a personality change for the worse. He states after he takes the amitriptyline he can't get out of his recliner and falls asleep. When he takes the gabapentin he gets realy happy but fallls and is very clumsy . He is very anemic and takes iron pills prescribed and is bleeding from bowel and has hernia of stomach. They are unable to help him with this, can't get him cleaned out to do colonoscopy and his stomach is so bad it is between his bottom ribs.
Thank you His daughter.
