Yesterday I Woke Up With A Soar Throat But Only

yesterday I woke up with a soar throat but only on my right tonsil and gargled with listerine which helped a little . I woke up this morning with more pain and my right tonsil swollen with a purple spot on it and under my jaw is very tender . from seeing the purple spot on my right tonsil I assumed I have an infection but I still have no idea what it is .
