My Son Was 16 Years Old. He Had An Appendectomy.

My son was 16 years old. He had an appendectomy. He was admitted to the hospital two days after his surgery due to continued abdominal complications. Instead of treating his intestinal blockage that was indicated on his CT scan he was given mass amounts of pain meds and told us that the problem would resolve itself in few days. Dilaudid, Morphine, Toradol, Hydrocodone, Zofran, Vicodin, Norco, Mylicon, Reglan, Dulcolax, Diocto, Magnesium citrate, Hydromorphone (opioid pain med), Klonopin, Diphenhydramine (sleep medication), Lorazepam,

Naloxone (used to treat narcotic overdose). Why would they give him this Med? Was it due to the amount pain meds (dilaudid, morphine)?
