                                    Brief Answer:
This seems androgenic alopecia
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Thanks for reverting with more details.
This is androgenic alopecia from your pic and is not that bad.
I wil answer your specific questions.
1. Not always. Mostly prolonged intake of this medicine is needed and maynot be effective.
2. Minoxidil is more effective and its effects may reverse on stopping treatment. Sometimes side effects maybe seen.
3. It will not reverse with shampoos or medicine. Hair transplant can be done when baldness increases. Surgeon will pick hair from another body part and transplant on head. So hair texture is different from scalp hair.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

as minoxidil is not permanent solution, then why doctor suggest this? is there any way through which after stopping minoxidil, we can stop the reverse, ie stop the hairfall? and is there no permanent solution?

                                    Brief Answer:
The problem is in genes
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since the baldness is is being passed down the generations genetically, there is no permanent solution. You may want to check your male relatives baldness pattern.
All these chemicals have some effect as per their efficacy. Minoxidil's effect may not reverse completely. As long as minoxidil is applied, hair grow and stay for some time thats why it was prescribed. Moreover its a topical (externally applied) medicine so systemic (internal) side effects are uncommon.
