Detailed Answer:
Hello
If the patient is asymptomatic and no other associated medical illness then it’s advisable to start with lifestyle modifications first.
These include daily morning walks for at least 40 mins a day for 5 days a week. Along with healthy diet and low salt intake.
Patient can follow this strictly for a period of 3 months and if even after all this the diastolic pressure stay above 90 then anti hypertensives should be started along in a low dose.
Also get an echocardiography done.
I hope this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
