Question: 1 month ago I fractured my pelvis and had to start using a walker. After 2 weeks, I began to have significant pain in my hand arm and shoulder. What would this be and how can I help it. It often radiates from the thumb and on the thumb sign of arm up to shoulder. Often pulsates for several minutes when I stop using the walker

Brief Answer:
Can be related to posture.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the thumb and arm seems to be related to posture as you feel the pain after using the walker. This can be related to shoulder tendonitis or cervical spondylosis also. Proper examination is needed to find the exact cause. Taking oral muscle relaxants, hot compress and application of local analgesic gel can provide relief. Regular physiotherapy will help in the long term relief.
I hope this answers your query.
