Question : 1 year old had what appeared to be bug bites with hives

Pediatrician prescribe Zyrtec- hives disappear following 1 dose but reappear
When Zyrtec discontinued- had about a 10 day course of Zyrtec and hives reappeared following discontinuation

Hives can last for many days. There is no harm in continuing treatment with Zyrtec for another week or 10 days. In addition, I suggest you to use a soothing lotion e.g Calamine lotion to calm down the hives, if and when they appear.
