Brief Answer:
Send details of your symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

You write that you have "intracranial hypertension". What are you basing this on? Also that you were sick - how many times did you vomit, and are you having any bad abdominal pain now?

It sounds like you have a bad hang over. Are your symptoms diminishing at all?

Blood shot eyes can happen from increased pressure from vomiting. The more significant problem from vomiting is the risk of esophageal tear or esophageal irritation from the acid in the vomitus. Also, the risk of losing potassium if vomiting is excessive.

I suggest, if you are able, to have a small amount of bland food so that your blood sugar does not dip low, keep drinking water, take acetaminophen, and rest. The tinnitus should start to resolve soon.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I am feeling fine other than the sensation that my veins in my whole head, eyes ears feel swollen and are pulsating i can see it veins swollen in my eyes no blood shut eyes though pulsatile tinnitus started also. and i can feel the veins on my head pulsating also i vomited at least 15 times ebtween 8AM and 12 PM on saturday. I worry about risks of stroke or anneurysm during my sleep tonight im well hydrated at this point i dont know what this is, seemed related to vomiting

Thoughts on this

Detailed Answer:
I see. Since the pressure you are feeling in your head doesn't seem to be getting better, I think it might be a good idea to take a trip to the A&E (ER). There they can check your blood pressure and do a neurological exam, including taking a good look at the blood vessels of the back of your eyes with a retinoscope. The appearance of these and exam can give an indication of the presence of increased pressure. If needed, they may do other tests as well. But that would be a start.

Please let me know how you are doing after you go in.

Going in is more or less an option, are there risks associated with these symptoms if no other symptoms are currently present?

Can I try to sleep the night before going otherwise here its a 15-20 hour wait in ER without food or sleep

Detailed Answer:
Yikes, that is a long wait! Yes, providing your symptoms are not worsening, or developing other symptoms, you can try to rest at home.

Things to watch for: Numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, located on one side of the body.
Confusion or trouble understanding.
Trouble seeing in one or both eyes.
Sudden dizziness, trouble walking, loss of balance or coordination.
Sudden and severe headache.

If your current symptoms increase, or you develop any of the above symptoms, then do not wait, go in. And they will triage you so that you are seen immediately.

I suspect you may have more head pounding/ringing if you lie flat, so you may want to elevate your head with a few pillows.
