My 3 year old daughter said her tummy hurt a few hours ago and started vomiting shortly after. She kept vomiting until her stomach was completely empty. She was immediately lethargic after and wanted to sleep which is very unlike her. After a quick nap she vomited once more. That was 2 hours ago and hasn’t vomited since. I have given her diluted apple juice since an hour ago every 20 minutes a few sips. So far no more vomiting but complains about the sick feeling still being there and just wanting to sleep. It is her bedtime so that isn’t strange but fell asleep on the couch before we even made a move to go upstairs. Very unlike her but figured ahe must be worn out from all the vomiting. But then I noticed her heart rate is 140 bpm and now since she has been sleeping for about 15 minutes it is still 140bpm. Is this reason to take her to the ER asap? Google showed me articles of kids mycocarditis....

Brief Answer:
Take her to Emergency immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Frequent vomiting itself may cause dehydration and if severe may lead to shock.
Sleeping heart rate of 140/min is abnormal for this age and may be due to severe dehydration with hypotension/shock or some myocardial issues.
Letharginess is also not a good sign.
I suggest you to take her immediately to Emergency for clinical evaluation and management like intravenous fluid supplementation if needed.

Wishing good health for your baby

Regards
