Brief Answer:
lymph nodes at the back of the head

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Enlargement of lymph nodes are reactions to noxious stimuli outside the body(insect bites) or inside the body(infectious mono, juvenile arthritis, lymphoma). There is variability in the length of time for the reaction to go away. Much depends on how large the node was at the beginning. It is not unusual for the increase in size to last for several months or so. As long as there is no redness, drainage, pain, fever, or weight loss the nodes can be watched until they shrink.
Thanks.
