Question : 777my husband has many small white patches on his scalp. there is no itching or pain. what could this be? he also has very oily skin

Hello and welcome,

Given that his scalp is oily, the most likely thing is that it may be seborheic dermatitis (if their is also dandruff), or a fungal infection of the scalp. But usually these cause some itching.

For me to be more specific, it would be best if you can upload a few digital photos (close up and from a few inches away) using the "upload reports" tab. Then I can get a better idea of what might be going on.

Also, can you please tell me what is in the medicated shampoo and how long he has been using it? And any other health problems, such as diabetes?
