Question : 8 days ago I fell and hurt my right big toe I triedon't treating at home with staying off it except for short trips to the bathroom and icing it every 2 hours when I'm awake I went to Urgent Care 5 days later .They took x-rays and said I had a bad big toe fracture I should stay off it I see a specialist tomorrow because they said it's healed and is distorted and will break through the skin if not treated what can be my options so I'm prepared .

I have gone through your query and understand your health concerns ,
It seems that you fractured your big toe with a displacement of the fractured fragments. In case the displacement is more and the fracture has started healing then the bone fragments need to be aligned surgically and fixed with wires. You can upload your X-ray for a better evaluation.
Do consult an orthopedician and get the distortion corrected surgically.
