Question: About 45 minutes ago I took two Tylenol and ate some candy. It went down the wrong tube I now feel as though there is cotton in my throat and I cannot stop coughing. What can I do?

I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you can't do anything to help with cough and cotton feeling.
Cough is a reflex that in this case occurs when food goes in trachea instead of oesophagus.
Having cough will help you to put the food particles out. Also an inflammation is formed in trachea that gives the bad cotton feeling.
I think is better not to stop cough because it puts particle out. I think this symptoms may last all day and getting well as time passes.
