Brief Answer:
Symptoms are mot suggestive of ALS.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.

I have noted your clinical details. Based on this, there is no need to worry about ALS. You can wait for MRI report to come. When you meet doctor with MRI report, then, you can discuss about muscle twitching.

You can get a few blood tests- CPK (which helps in detecting any muscle inflammation), vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels.

Nerve conduction studies and EMG may be done, if needed, after clinical examination reveals any neurological deficits.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
