Question : Am 72 years old do not have allergies have a constant cough and nose drainage. Recently coughed up some blood a one time occourance but a constant cough.

By your history and description, possibility of rhinitis and post nasal drip is more likely.
Post nasal drip is the likely cause for your coughing.
Blood in cough should be evaluated for any serious lung disease like COPD, bronchitis, pneumonia or lung cancer.
So you should at least get done chest x ray.
