Question : I have pain in my kidney area and took Tylenol 500mg and 3.5 hours later took 200 mg of Advil (2) and also used a lot of Icy Hot. 1 hour later I started shaking, shivering and trembling uncontrollably and throwing up. Do you know if I was having an allergic reaction? Anything you suggest?

Hello ,

I don't think that this was an allergic reaction. The shivering and shaking may be related to sweating and lower body temperature.
Possibly you had elevated body temperature first and tylenol made you sweat. This may have caused shivering and shaking.
The throwing up may have been related to pain and possibly due to stomach irritation .
You may need to do an urine analysis and possibly an ultrasound because this pain may be caused by urinary tract infection and kidney stones.
You may need to get evaluated.
