Brief Answer:

Interaction between centramine and sertraline

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Centramine can possibly interact with sertraline. They can both increase the toxicity or side effects of each other and can possibly lead to a condition called serotonin syndrome where there is an excess of the chemical serotonin in the body.

Both of these meds increase serotonin levels.

Excess serotonin, can cause symptoms such as agitation, confusion, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, seizures, diarrhea along with a number of other symptoms.

You may want to consider speaking to the weight loss clinic about this possibility.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
