Question : iam on escitalopram 10 mg and clonazepam 0.25 mg combination for ilness anxiety disorder for 7 days and then will continue with escitalopram 10 mg from 8th day. Are these drugs safe to use for long term?

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

For anxiety disorder these drugs have to be essentially used for atleast 8-10 months as shorter uses are not effective. The drugs are quite safe on long run and Ibhave atleast 200 patients on these medications and except for some complaining increased yawning or sweating , most of them have accepted it very well. You may go for them without any hesitation.
