Question : I had sex with hiv infected lady. After 1 year and 1 year 6 months of exposure i did 2 hiv antibody test . First one using tridot method. 2nd one by CMIA method. Both negative. Since exposure i am suffering from chronic cough and occasionally loose motion. My IgE level is very high and i have high eosinophilia. My other immunoglobulin testare within normal eange and cbc results are ok. Shall i alley fear of hiv?

You had sexual intercourse with HIV positive lady and antibody test using tri-dot method after 1 year and same test using CMIA method after 1 year and 6 months both are negative then you need not to worry at all because you are free from HIV.

The window period for HIV ranges from 15 days to 3 months so the antibody test result after this time is considered highly reliable and accurate. Don't be feared about HIV and move ahead in life happily.
