Question: Hello Dr. My Daughter is 7 months old now. For last three days she is suffering from cough (not very severe). Now from today morning she has got fever ranging 99.5 to 101.5 F Our Pediatrician has prescribed her Tminic cold syrup 2 ML (3 times a day) , then NOVAMOX 125 Syrup 3.5 ML (3 times a day) and P-125 drops 1 ML (every six hours). Is it OK to give these drops considering she is only seven months old. Further SHE WAS TREATED FOR INTUSSUCEPTION BY AIR ENEMA three months back. Is there any possibilities that these drops may effect her adversely and possibility of reoccurence of intusseception b'coz of these medicines prescribed.

Thanks for your reply. As adviced by you I start giving these medicines from today morning. But still the fever ranges from 99.5 to 101.5 F only after we give her P 125 drops the temprature falls than again it raises after some time. The fever is lasting for two days. Today What I found is her behavioral changes after giving medicines she gets irritated, feel dull compared to yesterday.My queries are 1. Whether her behaviour is due to side effects or bcoz of sickness 2. How long if the fever remains we should gets worry, I mean when she sarts recovering 3 What if the fever continue even after third day, bcoz we cannot give paracetomaol more than three days what we should do on fourth day if fever remains 4. Can we apply vicks on her chest or on feet 5. Now for intusseception was treated three months back but in discharge summery they mentioned two things which are terminal ileum shows mild mural thicknening and few slightly enlarged mesenteric nodes seen. My query what does these two means, how much these are cause of concerns, what are the precautions to be taken to avoid reoccurence of intussception. Thank you Regards

Thanks for your reply As I mentioned earlier since yesterday i have given her 6 doses of Novamx(3.5ml each) and Tminic 5 doses(2 ml each). Now I observed that she has developed red scene small rashes (like red spots) everywhere in legs arms. Is this serious A kind of allergies If yes what shall I do now How to know from which medicine this reaction occured Tminic, novamox or P 125 Please reply earliest Regards
