Question : My wife got an ultra sound done, it shows minimally increase echotexture of the liver.(Impression: Grade 1 fatty liver) Since past few days she is suffering from abdominal pain, Vomiting immediate after consuming food, Weakness, so how should we proceed with this above query. Are the mentioned symptoms only of the fatty liver or something else

Get a complete liver function test done

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Non alcoholic liver disease is usually an incidental finding

Now that you are aware of the pathology get a full liver function test done

In the mean time, reduce fat in diet and avoid fried fermented and junk food

Take a good hepatotprotective medicine for a minimum of six weeks

Before taking any medicine do confirm with your doctor if it would further damage the liver

A proton pump inhibitor along with domperidone should help relieve symptoms

Get back to me once the reports are ready

I have done the Liver function Test.

These below three test in the report has been highlighted
Alkaline Phosphatase 40.6
Gamma Glutamyl Transferase 38.8
Alanine Transaminase 29.7

Rest 8 test have a normal range

Thanks for uploading the reports
I have gone through the same, they are nearly normal though the enzymes are on upper limits of normal, they are marked abnormal as the interpretation is done by a computer while printing
I would suggest you continue what I have advised in my first reply and get the test repeated after 6 weeks and get back to me
