Question : I am a 62 year old male. I have been diagnosed with prostatitis (ultrasound and bloods clear). I am taking a second course of antibiotics due to recurrence. However I am experiencing abdominal / pelvic discomfort intermittently, passing large amounts of gas and straining to have a bowel movement. I do have a history of IBS but this seems more persistent. No blood in stool and no weight loss. Could this be prolonged IBS it has now been two weeks?
