Ceiling fans are good choice for elderly to improve comfort and have good safety in view of dementia.
Dementia patients may not no comfortable level of cooling and may not be able to handle the regulator so someone should visit at least 6hourly to see the environment of room.
Another risk is of falls.
These patients should be attended more frequently and should be in a cradled bed.
If hr can maintain posture then he should be walking with support if required or at least sit in chair daily to get enough mobilization as far as the condition permits.
