Posted on Mon, 4 Jul 2016
Question: Hi, i am mother to a 10 month old baby girl, on breast feed. Not introduced other source of milk apart in her semolina . I have come to know that my MIL is giving her 2-3 spoons of cold drinks every other day.
This has put me into a lot of stress. Please advise if it can cause any adverse effect on her.

Brief Answer:
No effect

Detailed Answer:
hi,
Welcome to this forum.
Can understand your concern.

cold drinks are carbonated beverages and 2 to 3 spoons will not have any effect on child.

The only effect that will occur is less of interest in other food items. Also, cold drink and milk should not be given together.

I suggest you to stop cold drink or give it occasionally and that too without any other food like milk.

I hope this helps.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
