Question: I have dermotomyasitis, arthritis and now I am told I have bursitis, I am getting injections for.

Brief Answer:
YES,THEY ARE RELATED

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.

Arthritis, bursitis and rotator cuff tear are related to each other to some extent.

A rotator cuff tear can lead to bursitis and then,if untreated,it leads into an arthritis.

Dermatomyositis does not seem to be related to though.

Bursitis,in early stages, can be treated with local injections.
Resistant cases may need surgical removal of the bursa.

I would be in a better position to help you if you could post the reports here.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.

Thank you.
Kind regards.
