Are Dizziness, Red Eyes, Pain In The Shoulders, Ears, Jaw And Gums Indicative Of Flu?

Question: On Tues evening, my face started burning up with temperature. I had a pain going up the back of my neck, with a tight headache across the back of my head. I didnt sleep well with the neck ache. I awoke Wednesday with a fuzzy headache, sore red eyes, and some dizziness upon sitting up in bed. By Thursday, the main pain in the neck had subsided, but seemed to have spread out across the shoulders. Today, Friday, i still have a fuzzy headache, sore eyes and shoulders, with occasional twinges of pain in ears and jaw/gums. I called to my GPs surgery today to see if someone could do my blood pressure, but NOBODY was availble. I called at the pharmacy....nobody available there either. I really dont know what to think. Ive felt a bit woozy since Wednesday too with the headache. Ive had a heavy bout of stress since Saturday night, but theres also a nasty flu and other viruses around. However, i dont have coughing/sneezing. What do you suggest i do? I do take lisinopril 10mg which has normally regulated my bp. Many thanks.

Brief Answer:

Your situation is not because of flu.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have read carefully your history and I think that all these symptoms are related to high blood pressure.

During this time I have visited a lot of patients with the flu and believe me your situation is not because of the flu.

Furthermore, I suggest to measure your blood pressure, to continue your blood pressure treatment(lisinopril), to avoid the stress as well to meet as soon as possible your cardiologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
