Are Dry Mouth, Dry Eyes, Tremors And Insomnia Symptoms Of Anxiety?

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Dec 2016
Question: I'm a 53 year old female who has suffered from anxiety and depression for most of my life. I've taken zoloft off and on for about 13 years (mostly on) and recently restarted zoloft 50 mg. Since restarting the zoloft I've been having night tremors, sometimes in my trunk area and sometimes affecting both arms. Other symptoms I've had for some years are dry eyes and mouth especially at night. Since I've had the night tremors, I've also had insomnia which I wasn't having before.

Brief Answer:
These are indicative of anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Health care magic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Most of the symptoms you mentioned are indicative of anxiety . Dry mouth, dry eyes, tremors of extremities and insomnia itself indicates there are active anxiety symptoms.

I understand they were not present in past but it does not mean anxiety have similar presentation on every occasion.

In addition the possibility of these symptoms increases during postmenopausal period.

In my view waiting will be the best strategy.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to contact me again.
Thanks and regards.
