Question : i am pregnant through ivf, i have no fallopian tubes. so why is my doctor concerned about an ectopic pregnancy. i am too early to see anything on ultrasound. now i am confused

I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Yes,you are right and your concerns is also right that if you are not having fallopian tube why your doctor is concerned about ectopic pregnancy.
But ectopic pregnancy is very common after IVF procedure though usually ectopic pregnancy occur in fallopian tube but in very rare cases it may occur in ovary,abdomen and tip of cervix other than fallopian tube.
That is the only reason she is worried about the same.
But as the chances are very low,you should not take so much of stress.
