Question : My 21 year old daughter just called me and said she is having vaginal bleeding heavy between periods, fatigue, body aches and nausea with no vomiting. Thoughts?

Hi,

First of all, please do not panic.

I would like to know about the following:

Does she have a regular cycle?
Which birth control pills is she taking?
Has she missed out on the oral contraceptives in the last cycle?
If so, has she done a urine pregnancy test?

As of now, I will suggest that she should seek prescription based medication from her treating doctor for Tablet containing Mefenamic acid and Tranexamic acid to control her bleeding and antacid like Pantoprazole-Domperidone combination to control her nausea.

Her inputs about the above-mentioned queries will be helpful to provide more support.
