Brief Answer:
no link

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
There is no link between the listeria and H. pylori but you certainly could have both. The H. pylori usually takes 10-14 days of a combination of antibiotics plus a proton pump inhibitor to get rid of it. If you think you may have been exposed to listeria ask your doctor to test for that as well.
I hope you are feeling better soon,

Brief Answer:
got it

Detailed Answer:
BUN is blood urea nitrogen. There are many things that can make that elevated and it is not really about blood in or on your kidney (although it sounds like it doesn't it?). BUN is a measure of how well the kidney is processing the fluids through your body. When BUN gets very elevated it means that they kidneys are not filtering the blood as good as they should. BUN can also be elevated when you are just a little dehydrated. In fact that is the most common cause for a mild elevation in BUN like you have. It is probably not a problem and will probably be normal when you get it checked again. Make sure before you get your next blood test that you are well hydrated. That means drinking lots of water and avoiding caffeine and alcohol both of which can make you dehydrated.
If your BUN levels are increasing in 2 months then the doctors will need to determine what may be causing your kidneys not to function properly but I think that is unlikely. Don't worry and drink lots of water.
Wishing you the best,
K. Robinson MD
