Brief Answer:
not normal. needs urine report and ultrasound examination.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, this is not normal to pass blood clots at one week
period of stricture dilatation surgery.

* The most common surgical reason behind this is urinary infection with cystitis
and formation of blood clots or already retained clots inside bladder during the
procedure which are passing with time.

* My recommendations at present

- Get prescription of a urine microscopy and ultrasound examination of abdomen
& pelvis with your doctor for definite line of management.
- Consume cranberry XXXXXXX once daily in a glass of drinking water.
- Maintain your blood sugar.
- Keep the genitals clean with antiseptic liquid.

Welcome for further queries.
Regards.

Thankyou for your reply going on almost two weeks now of off and on blood with
clots have burning feeling after urination when blood and clots are present. After drinking much water it clears for up to 24 hours but comes back repeatedly. Blood is dark red. Extremely frustrating situation. Anything more I can do before appointment with doctor. I drink lots of water maybe too much

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

* Additional guidelines before meeting your doctor

- Consume more fruits with citrus and vitamin c content as lemon juice, oranges
which will support healing of possible internal inflammation.

- You definitely require antibiotic support ( as third generation cephalosporin or
others ) to prevent secondary infection, which can be taken after prescription
from your doctor only.

Wish you fine recovery.
Take care.

Hi

The best option is to recheck cystoscopy and bladder wash to remove any residual clot as well as control of any minor bleeder.

Thanks.
