Are Nausea And Low Progesterone Levels Signs Of Pregnancy?

Question: I have been having lots of pregnancy symptoms over the past couple of months but my urine tests keep coming up neg. I had significant nausea starting at a specific time fo day for at least 6 weeks, my Boobs were sore, I can't lay on my stomach without pain. My sister had low progesterone levels throughout her pregnancies. Could low progesterone levels keep hcg levels low and therefore cause a false negative result? Also have had a couple instances where I felt what I can only describe as thumps low in my abdomen similar to what it felt like when I could feel my friends baby kick. I don't want to go in to doctor if I'm not but I just have this gut feeling that I could be.

Hi,

I understand your concerns about possibility of pregnancy.

Low progesterone does not lead to low beta hCG levels. Hence if there is pregnancy, it will be detected by pregnancy test.

Fetal movement and fetal kicks start after 4th month of pregnancy even if you are pregnant and not so soon.

What you are experiencing are not signs of pregnancy alone. These are symptoms are also felt during gastritis. Please take an antacid available over the counter and see if these symptoms reduce.
