                                            Question : Hi
I was having pregnancy symptoms about a week after ovulation. Nausea, headaches, feeling dizzy, breasts very sore, etc.
But a week before my normal time my periods started.
But the symptoms are still there such as headaches nausea etc.
Is it possible I can still be pregnant?
Even though I'm bleeding? It's not spotting either. It's heavy than what people describe as spotting.
Please let me know
Thank you

                                    Brief Answer:
No t possible to be pregnant while bleeding!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. It is not possible to be pregnant while bleeding. This is because the bleeding actually comes from where the pregnancy is supposed to be and with heavy bleeding, there is just no way that could be possible. And worse still, it is heavy which means even if you were pregnant, the pregnant could have been lost already. In all, you are not pregnant and not even close.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

But I don't understand why my periods started a week early, because I have always had a regular cycle.
And if I'm not pregnant, then why am I getting these symptoms. can it be something else?

                                    Brief Answer:
Periods coming earlier is not totally unusual!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up question.
Every woman at least once in her lifetime would notice changes with her cycle. These symptoms occurred too soon after your ovulation and no pregnancy would have grown enough to produce substantial hormones to cause symptoms. I am more of the fact that this is more related to hormonal changes as opposed to a pregnancy. My advise is to treat this entirely like a period and only seek further care if this bleeds excessively or goes beyond the normal duration.
Keep me posted on the progress and together we shall review and make more changes.
