Question : My husband has had pain in the side of his calf, a numb cold foot, and some swelling in his foot? Does that sound like symptoms of a blood clot?

Detailed Answer:
thanks for sending the question.
I think you should take into the emergency room as soon as possible. If his foot is numb and cold this might indicate there is a blockage of flow in his arteries. For this reason I think he needs to be seen as soon as possible. If there really is a blood clot and then a procedure can be done to help facilitate blood flow. The longer you wait the more problematic this can become.
It is also remotely possible that there may not beA blood clot but I think the risk of waiting too long is significant and this should be evaluated soon.
