Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your symptoms, I would recommend consulting with your doctor and performing some tests:

- a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes
- a chest X ray study
- some other blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, kidney and liver function tests, inflammation tests).

A cardiac stress test may be needed if suspicions of coronary artery disease are raised.

Another disorder to consider would be gastro-esophageal reflux or gastritis. Have you tried taking an antiacid or PPI (omeprazole, lansoprazole, etc.)? If your symptoms are relieved by these drugs, this may indicate possible gastro-esophageal reflux. In such case a fibrogastroscopy may be needed.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
