Are Physical Activities To Be Reduced After Angioplasty?

Question: Hi Doctor,
My Father has undergone angioplasty in the month of July, After angioplasty he was feeling very good.. he took on bed rest for a month as suggested by the doctor.. he is very active always
But now he doesn't takes rest, he just keeps doing household work like fitting frames, cleaning his room, arranging small furniture's..goes to market every time if anything is required..
we tell him to take rest and don't do much physical activity.. he goes for morning and evening walk which should be enough but still he keeps doing his work as he was doing before angioplasty..
he takes his medicines on time and doesn't feels tired or down after doing so much of work..
I need your suggestions if this is fine or doing such activities will harm his heart again..
I am worried and want to know if this is fine or not good for his health.. please suggest.

Brief Answer:
Physical activities are fine for your father.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your father's details. There is no need to worry, as angioplasty has gone on well, and his heart is normal.
He can continue to do all his daily chores along with walking. It would not have any ill effect on his health.
He should continue taking his regular medicines.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM

Thank You Doctor,
I am just worried, wouldnt it bring pressure on his heart if he gets tired doing so much of physical activity.
Also, is there any restrictions on his diet because of Angioplasty..

Brief Answer:
Dietary restrictions are needed.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
Doing daily chores and walking would not strain his heart.
Dietary restrictions include reduction of fatty and oily foods. Also sweets should be restricted.
Fresh fruits and vegetables/salads are helpful and good for heart.
