Question : I have had pins and needles, numbness and pain in my feet arms and legs for over a year. I have a continues high CRP. 4 growths on my thyroid discovered several years ago. RecentlyI had more blood tests and they show high CRP, high LDL-p, High thyroglobulin and high MCV. ANy ideas for next steps?

Hello,

The symptoms you are experiencing point towards decreased thyroid hormone level/hypothyroidism.

Hypothyroidism can lead to peripheral neuropathy (pins and needles sensation), increased LDL levels and high MCV. And the likely cause for hypothyroidism in your case is an autoimmune attack of the thyroid gland which can cause high CRP and thyroglobulin levels.

Thyroid function test, autoantibody levels and biopsy of the thyroid gland can confirm the diagnosis.
