Question : Hello Dr. Shinas. My mother tells me that my father's blood pressure actually fluctuates. Sometimes higher, close to 100 top number, Sometimes lower like 60. Does this fluctuation mean anything positive for more life expectancy? Thank you.
Brief Answer:
If he can maintain above 90, it will be a good sign
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Terminally ill patients have fluctuating blood pressure and no clinical significance can be attributed.
If he can maintain blood pressure above 90 without supports then it’s definitely a good sign.
Hoping for the best.
Thanks
