Question: Has i had a fear of getting affected by hiv...had tested consulted doctor... all said not to worry... but i am jus fearing to b get affected.. sleepless nights tiredness whole day feeling weak.. no mood to go for work.. itching al over body... bad taste in my mouth early morng.. this signs bothers me a lots..!! Feel like dying too

On 1st of march... i had a sex with a sex worker .. used condom.. but got torned... i didnt had a succesfull intercourse.. dono the hiv history of the person... within 2 mintues took it out. ... after 4 days i took a hiv1&2 and cd4 count test.. my wbc is high 11700 and cd4 is normal to 1200 n 32.8% and hiv1&2 index is 0.23 which says non reactive..... from day one i am having sleepless night guilt feeling fear tired all day.. feeling low... itching started 2 days back.... !! And bad tatste mouth evry morng

Hello,
It is not necessary that you will always contract HIV if you have got your condom rupture during sex with a sex worker.
However, the tests done are normal, still i would recommend a retesting after 4-6 weeks of exposure.
I can state here that the symptoms you are experiencing are just because of anxiety.
You should stop thinking about the episode. If it is possible, you can request the sex worker to get tested for HIV and get her status checked.
So, get it repeated after 4 more weeks and write back to me.

Hello, You should relax, stop thinking about the disease and start meditation.
In case, still you don't overcome you would require to see a doctor, who would prescribe you Anxiolytics like Etizolam.
