Are Small Painless Blisters Around The Genital Area Signs Of Herpes?

default
Posted on Wed, 25 May 2016
Question: Hi, one of my previous sex partners told me she had an outbreak of diagnosed herpes. I've never had any painful blisters but I've had a rash for a long time which after some research seems more like jock itch. Now that she told me I've checked and I have do have some micro blisters that look look like infected hair follicles around the genital area but they don't hurt or break, and on my penis is something that looks like one clear burn mark blister but same thing there. I've requested an appointment with a doctor but my head is spinning. Any way you can tell anything from photos for example?

Brief Answer:
your lesions are not related to Herpes simplx infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
I saw the pictures sent by you. Your lesions are not related to Herpes infection at all. What you have seen in the pictures are nothing but the prominence of hair follicles. Nothing else. All who exposed to an individual with Genital Herpes are not necessarily get infected. This applies to almost all infection including HIV. Especially individuals with HSV infection would be infectious during their manifestations and during the viral shedding (around manifestation). During that time also, some may escape from infection due to their own immunogical factors.

Brief Answer:
Your lesions are not looking like Genital Herpes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
It is not looking like Herpetic vesicle. Moreover Herpetic vesicles are usually grouped containing clear fluid and will rupture within a day to give rise to grouped ulcers. It looks like a molluscum contageosum like lesion over the shaft of the penis.
You have to consult a Dermatologist for further help.
