I have difficulty swallowing on one side of my throat
Eith burning sensation
Brief Answer:
Not a symptom of Zika infection!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.
Sore throat and difficulty swallowing is not a sign of Zika virus infection. Zika infection often presents with mild symptoms that last less than a week such as fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes.
Your symptoms are suggestive of a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract infection. I suggest you take tylenol: 1000mg thrice daily for pains. If this persists, then seek evaluation as you may need antibiotics in case it is a bacterial infection.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
