Question : I had an event in which I was carrying my groceries into my condo (up 1 flight of stairs-down another)-became extremely SOB (like being in a vacuum bottle) and very weak-sat down steps. Struggles last steps into condo-became very hot, sweating and weaker. Chest very, very tight, but no pain. Felt horrible all day. -All this yesterday morning, but today felt better but still tired, Now I felt strange and took my pulse-I get 3 beats then none then 3 beats. Am I in trouble? This has been happening for hours now. I have had 3 blood clots before, but symptoms were NOT like this.
Brief Answer:
These are likely an ectopics
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The irregularities in the pulse is likely ectopics. Considering your yesterday's symptoms and this, there is a possibility of coronary artery disease. So you need to visit health care and get evaluated.
You should get ECG done, followed echo. ECG will pick the rhythm abnormalities which you facing now. Further test may be done accordingly.
In management, you may need anti-platelets, diuretics and beta blockers which to be started after seeing ECG. At home, get bp and pulse rate checked. Avoid heavy activities.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
