Question : I broke my right rib 2-11-18, the Ipiods did not help. I have deep deep muscle pain where I hit my rib cage. Is there a OTC pain killer I can use. Right now I'm using otc Tylenol. Ipiods are horrible. This is a deep deep muscle pain. Thank you. XXXX I also feel like I'm going to vomit all the time.
Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Well, rib fractures are very unpleasant and pain may persist for several weeks even months. You should take mild painkillers such as Diclofenac, paracetamol and if there is no improvement, you should take Codeine or Tramadol. Nausea should be treated with metoclopramid.
Wish you good health.
